Amsterdam-based Marketing software startup Relay42 secured ‘several millions’ from venture capital firm Holland Venture as well as a former executive of Booking.com in a series A funding round.

Relay42 was founded in 2010 by Tomas Salfischberger, Koen Koppes, Erik Broekhuis and Koen Bos as a spin off from Synovite (link in Dutch).

The startup provides the online marketing industry with technology that collects and manages data across channels in real time. It empowers enterprises to personalize their marketing messages to consumers.

Relay42 claims to be market leader in the Netherlands and recently opened up shop in the UK. The platform is currently used by advertisers such as KLM, Ziggo, Thomas Cook, BMW and Foot Locker.

Series A

The series A investment (usually between 2-10 million euro, and close to 5 million euro in this case according to Dutch Silicon Canals) must accelerate the company’s international growth. “We are looking forward to expanding in Europe and helping clients to make their marketing more data-driven”, says Tomas Salfischberger, ceo of Relay42.

Marc Duijndam (Funda, Holland Venture), Maurice Pothof (Relay42) and Niels van Aalten (Holland Venture) will be part of the Supervisory Board.
