Here’s what happened last week in the Dutch startup scene:

Funding & updates

Another round for fintech startup/scale-up Adyen: Iconiq, the fund of tech moguls like Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey and Reid Hoffmann, invested an undisclosed amount, valuating the business at 2 billion euro.

Rotterdam founded Magnet.me is expanding to the UK with an official launch in the financial district of London. The startup offers a platform connecting students with employers.

Fairphone, who creates ‘ethical’ smartphones, crowdfunded a whopping 9 million euro to create their second phone.

Startup workplace B. Amsterdam started their startup school, to battle youth unemployment.

From our sources: Solease got approximately 4 million euro in grants and subsidies from the provinces of Limburg, Utrecht and Overijssel to put solar panels on the roofs hundreds of houses.
