Rockstart accelerator is changing from a good generalist accelerator into a family of industry-focused programs. Yesterday it announced the names of the ten selected startups that will join the 180 day digital health program. The program takes place is Nijmegen, to make the best use of the Radboud University Medical Center.

We have been covering Rockstart since the first class, and Rockstart has a solid reputation of attracting world class online startups to Amsterdam. Like Startupbootcamp has done previously with its NFC and wireless and its Hightech XL classes, Rockstart has chosen to diversify into specialized programs. The latest program is focused on digital solutions for the healthcare industry. Program manager is Maarten den Braber is positive the program can add value to all selected startups: “Our participating startups will have access to an international mentor base and healthcare ecosystem partners, who are focused on market validation and fast-tracking innovative digital health startups”. Maarten is new to Rockstart, but has a background in Digital health and has been able to assemble an interesting team of mentors, including Paul Vleugen from Human, Sander Nagtegaal from MyTomorrows and Peecho, Dick Uyttewaal from Skinvision and professor in evidence based surgery Maroeska Rovers.

Half of the ten selected startups are from The Netherlands. The other startups are from Spain (2x) Germany, Chile and USA. Here they are in alphabetical order.
